History
The first Kaader took place in 2006
Filmfestival Kaader is a kind of sequel to the “Ossud” film festival held earlier at the Vesiroosi Gymnasium in Rapla, without which there would be no “Kaader”.
The first “Frame” took place in 2006. 10.-11. The first edition was held on 10 and 11 November at the Rapla Cultural Centre and the Rapla Vesiroosi Gymnasium. On the first day, the opening ceremony of “Kaader” was held at the Rapla Cultural Centre, after which the competition films from Tallinn, Põlva, Viljandi, Saku and Rapla were shown. On the second day, the filmmakers with the will to succeed started making films on the spot together with the people on the cinema bus. It took six and a half hours and the witty film “Tool”, with its unexpected solutions, was ready to watch. In the meantime, the competition films were analysed and the prizes awarded. The grand prize was a large forged camera, which has been the grand prize for years.
This was the first “Kaader”, now it has grown and evolved, no longer showing previously made films, but all films are made on site within 24 hours. In 2019, Kaader moved to the Rapla Gymnasium and the films will be premiered in the Rapla cinema.
